Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking to hire administrative professionals for the role of Service Officer in their growing team. We are looking for individuals with previous banking, back office experience with some exposure to mortages.
Contract term: 11/12/2017 to 25/05/2018 (6 months), possible extension or conversion
Pay rate:$ 14.74/hour
Full-time: 37.5 hrs
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00am - 5:00pm
MUST HAVE:
1.) Previous banking experience
2.) Computer Savvy
3.) Proficient with MS office - esp. Outlook
4.) Attention to detail
5.) Mortgage knowledge, exposure and lending experience
NICE TO HAVE
1) Experience working in an back office operations environment
Summary: The main function of a Service Officer is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical Service Officer is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Technical skills include documentation skills and time management.
Job Responsibilities:
Verification of accuracy of mortgage/line of credit deals.
Completion of tasks required for mortgage deals to be funded.
Telephone and e-mail communication with solicitors, other financial institutions and branch sales advisors.
Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered using computer systems.
Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors.
Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
