Reflector Assembler (ESA)

Our client is a leading manufacturer in Whitby, ON.

Pay rate: $15.50/hour

Rotational shift, 2 weeks rotation schedule.

Days: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Afternoons: Monday-Thursday, 3:15pm-1:45am

Working in the ESA Assembly department, the assembler will be responsible for assembling, burring and sanding various parts and components on assemblies using hand and small power tools, following exact measurements and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read mechanical engineering drawings and blueprints; assemble ESA components following measurements and specifications exactly
• Use hand and power tools such as drills and sanding equipment.
• Glue components using industrial adhesive
• Use laser tracker to measure assembled parts, ensuring accuracy
• Completes required job control, inventory, and related reports (example: timecards).
• Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain and adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety safe work requirements;
• Perform maintenance on machinery used to position, or clean components;
• Any other related duties as assigned

 
Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow drawings and blueprints, ensuring exact measurements and accuracy
• Ability to learn laser tracking equipment and software
• Knowledge of computer operating systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Mathematically inclined
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work in isolation or with a team
• Willingness to extend knowledge and ability in the role
