Big Data Scientist

Our client located in Tooronto is looking for a Big Data Scientist to join the company ASAP. 

Job Duties:

• Subject matter expert for Big Data toolsets and technologies
• Selecting and integrating Big Data toolsets and frameworks required to provide processing/integration capabilities
• Interact with product managers, software developers and other engineers to develop centralized big data solutions for specific analysis requirements
• Use SQL and Python to interact with, big data infrastructure
  Interface with product managers, data engineers and software developers, gathering requirements
• Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business and improve our machine learning engine
• Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve, product suite

Skills Required:

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• 3 years programming in Python
• 2 years experience working with SQL Server, SSIS and other ETL tools
• Google BigQuery an asset
• Experience working with big data tools
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
