Our client is a leading Canadian banking institution.

Pay rate: $26.00/hour

Full time: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm

Location: Montreal, QC

Must Have :
Word / Excel 3yrs*
Letter of Credit 2yrs*
Bilingual

Nice to have :
Previous banking experience

Job Accountabilities
• Having a good understanding of the business from the ground up which includes the operating environment, business processes and procedure and transaction lifecycle
• Recommend and implement solutions within own area of responsibility
• Verifying, releasing Documentary Credits within delegating limits
• Ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines
• Liaises with GTF Front Office and Commercial & Corporate Bank to review transaction details
• Monitors and executes service delivery against standards – adhere to GTF’s delivery standards
• Discretion/authority to make decisions on process within defined boundaries
• Identifies potential risk including processing gaps; Recommend and document resolutions to Manager
• Escalates non standard or high risk or other activities as per AML Enhanced Due Diligence and Anti-Boycott Procedures
• Act as a point of contact for escalation and problem resolutions for internal groups, partners and/or customers
• Reviews and releases transactions within delegating limits
• Escalates non standard or high risk or other activities as per AML Enhanced Due Diligence and Anti-Boycott Procedures
• Eliminates process redundancy and enhance efficiency.
• Identifies procedures for improvement; recommend, implement and monitor the achievement of process enhancements
• Respond to requests for issuance, amendment, information, etc.
• Issuing, amending, corresponding related to active files
• Review texts and provide comments to RMs/clients
• Provide guidance to RMs/clients

Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, International Business or other related discipline an asset
• CDCS accreditation an asset
• Proven communication and relationship skills
• Strong communication skills in French an asset
• Proven ability to execute
