The function of a Linesman is to act as a Line Worker, while also monitoring the line equipment, performing minor repairs and maintenance to keep the line running efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1 year of experience in a food production environment.
· 2 years experience as a packer checker or equivalent
· Knowledge of HACCP and Sanitation procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Monitor production on the line, repairing equipment as required in order to meet production targets.
· As requested by your Supervisor complete Downtime Tracking sheet accurately and consistently for machinery and return forms to your Supervisor by the end of the day.
· Complete the Labour Timing Worksheet on a daily basis if requested by your Supervisor, to assess labour requirements and rate of line operation.
· Inform maintenance when line is in need of major repair.
· Maintain inventory of glues, and operating lubricants.
· Inform Supervisor if raw material or packaging inventory is low.
· Inform scheduler when production targets will not be met.
· Meet production targets indicated on the daily schedule.
· Remove all completed product from the production department and return all surplus packaging / material to inventory at the end of each shift, as directed by the Supervisor.
· Return finished goods to the assigned location as directed by your Supervisor.
· Return packaging to appropriate location, including labels, stickers, containers, etc.
· Stage correct and sufficient packaging material, as directed by your Supervisor, to meet production targets each day.
· Have line ready to run by 7:30.
· Do continual adjustments to have line run efficiently.
· Clean machines when requested by supervisor.
These positions have a high likelihood of becoming permanent if the individuals perform well.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
