Our client is a leading quality manufacturer of automotive stampings and sub assemblies in Toronto. Currently we are looking for a Welding Technician to join the company.
- Able to program ABB MIG and spot welding robots for welding assembly.
- Able to manually run robot programs.
- Able to troubleshoot welding/robot issues.
- Able to perform repairs to weld tooling and robot performance issues within the weld cell
- Able to troubleshoot and improve cycle time issues within the weld cell.
- Able to perform changeovers and set up to achieve the quality standards required at the company.
- Able to read customer drawings for weld placement and weld length requirements.
- Able to visually identify poor weld quality and make the necessary adjustments.
- Helps to perform preventative maintenance on weld equipment and weld fixtures
- Able to discuss issues and receive suggestions with other team members of multiple disciplines including managers, supervisor and team leaders.
- Remains objective and performs with a positive attitude.
- Stores equipment and tools when not in use.
- Able to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/PREREQUISITES
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of TS16949 policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of ABB robotics
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Kuka Programming an asset
- Good part/process knowledge.
