Reconcilliations Clerk

Our client is a leading Canadian Bank.

Summary: The main function of the Reconcilliations Clerk is to the reconciliation functions in the back office processing area.

Pay Rate: $16/hr
Duration: 6 months, possible extension based on business needs

Job Responsibilities:
� Accountable for completing a range of reconciliations that involve multiple steps and several systems or applications and is characterized by a combination of manual and automated processes;
� Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues relating to accounts that are out of balance.
� Must be able to meet deadlines and possess superior accuracy and attention to details
� Must possess excellent customer service skills as well as good accounting skills and be able to work within the team environment.
� Performing other duties as required.


Skills:
� Strong Communication skills.
� Organized with attention to detail.
� Experience with IBM/ISM preferred.
� CDS, DTC are an asset.
� GIC experience is an asset.
� Brokerage experience is required.

Education/Experience:
� High school diploma or GED required.
� Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
� 0-2 years experience required.

Main Duties/Must Haves:
- looking for candidate with reconsilliation/accounting experiences
- Must be comfortable with Excel
- manager open to recent grad (within last 2 years) with an accounting degree
- looking for someone with a fresh mind to learn new things quickly and able to articulate their thoughts effectively
- must be comfortable learning new process and retaining knowledge
