Start ASAP!! Machine Operators (NIGHT SHIFT) - Scarborough, ON

Our client in Scarborough, a manufacturer of Cardboard Products, is hiring for Machine Operators.

Location: Finch Avenue East & Markham Road (Scarborough). TTC accessible! Easy Access!

Shift: Night shift - 10pm to 6am

Position Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $24-$27 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

o   Obtain order and verify stock specifications and condition;

o   Responsible for all production activities involved including set-up, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations;

o   Complete necessary administrative duties and reports in an accurate and timely manner;

o   Perform production tasks requiring hand movements, standing, lifting, moving and packing materials;

o   Turn in maintenance orders to supervisor for repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment;

o   Comply with all company policies and procedures, including conduct, Health & Safety and maintaining good housekeeping, as well as all government regulations;

o   Assist second and/or third operators with job duties on machine;

o   Perform additional duties related to or not related to this job classification as assigned and instructed by supervisor

Qualifications:

o   1-2 years of prior machine operating experience mandatory;

o   Experience in Corrugated industry an asset

o   Must be mechanically inclined

o   Must be able to read and understand instructions and possess basic reading and computer skills;

o   Must be able to lift at least 35lbs;

o   Must have 6 inch high CSA approved safety boots

o   Must be able to read a tape measure (metric and imperial)

o   Safety, efficiency and quality are of top concern;

o   Strong understanding of Health & Safety Rules and Regulations;

o   Ability to prioritize many tasks and execute results, which will promote customer satisfaction;

o   Ability to deal with conflict, stress and time constraints in an efficient, professional, courteous manner;

o   Accuracy and attention to detail will ensure the candidate’s success in this position.
