Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler/General Labourer to join our dynamic production floor. In this role, you will be an essential part of our assembly process, performing a variety of tasks to build and prepare truck trailers for our customers. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble various components of truck trailers according to precise specifications and blueprints.
Use hand tools (e.g., drills, impacts, wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools safely and effectively.
Operate pneumatic tools and equipment for tasks such as riveting and fastening.
Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, and diagrams.
Perform tasks including but not limited to:
Framing and sub-assembly construction.
Installing flooring, walls, and roofing.
Mounting doors, hinges, and hardware.
Assisting with electrical and lighting system installation.
Sealing and caulking to ensure weather-tight integrity.
Conduct quality checks on your own work and report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to 5S principles.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures without exception.
Assist team members and other departments as needed to meet production goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, or a related field is a strong asset.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math calculations.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including:
Lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods.
Working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
Working Hours: 7:30AM to 6PM, Monday to Thursday
Wage: $18/hr+
