Leading cosmetics manudacturing company is looking for Millwright/Elctrician to join the team!
Location: Scarborough (Eglinton and Warden)
Purpose and Scope:
To ensure the continuous operation of all plant equipment and machinery. This person will also be responsible for all the electrical maintenance of production machinery and equipment in the facility which will include installing, repairing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities – Millwright
- Dismantling of electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as
brushes and armatures.
- Installs and maintains various types of motors, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and
transformers.
- Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or
replacement.
- Install grounding leads.
- Interprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructions.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment,
wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
- Plans and lays out work from verbal instruction and or work orders, using blueprints and sketches.
- Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to
diagram specifications.
- Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate
tools and testing instruments.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- May be required to inspect and oversee, or work with outside Contractors for equipment installations,
may lead or direct the work of others as a project leader.
- Participates in developing the annual budget for electrical and instrumentation needs, requisitions
needed parts, tools.
- May train or instruct others in electrical work and safety – lock out tag-out.
- Works in accordance with local and provincial codes, reports all accidents, violations or infractions.
Responsibilities – Industrial Electrician
- Repair, overhaul and maintain, hydraulics, pneumatics and production machines – conveyors, fillers,
tube fillers, packaging equipment, agitators, and DC controls.
- Work in accordance with GMP, documentation control.
- Provide technical guidance on machine set ups, authors or has input to creating.
- Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Set-up and commissioning of new and used equipment.
- Ongoing preventive maintenance on all machinery, may be required to requisition parts, materials where required.
- Work in development of capacity and Continuous Process Improvement.
- Fabricate parts, as necessary, utilizing shop equipment.
- Ensure all machines and equipment are in safe working condition, taking appropriate precautions to prevent risk to employees and to the product.
- Follow all Health and Safety regulations in all steps, and especially in the lockout/tagout of equipment.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements
Education and Training
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical controls, industrial motors and programmable logic
controllers.
- Must be a licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic- Red Seal License.
- Reading commercial electrical blueprints.
- Planning and installing new electric service including new panels, breakers, and conduit
- Performing inspections of electrical components and distribution controls.
- Electrical Journeyman License: a second electrical license or a license in a related construction trade (EL-1J, EE-98, JS11), and OSHA certified for high voltage work.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant required.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with an innovative approach to solving mechanical problems.
- Very strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge.

- Design, fabrication, and commissioning of automated equipment
