Our client, a leading hand-made bath and beauty products manufacturing company in Vancouver is hiring for well experienced Seasonal Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced working environment.

Full time seasonal work until December 2024
Location: Vancouver, BC (Intersection of SW Marine Dr & E Kent Ave N)
Flexible schedule: Mandatory training on Morning shifts 7am to 3:30pm, then move to Afternoon shifts 3pm to 11:30pm
Wage: $21.35/hour + Applicable Shift Premiums
MUST HAVE CSA-APPROVED SAFETY SHOES AND CAN WORK FULL-TIME (40 hours per week)!!
We are looking for someone who has a Class 2 Reach Truck, and a Class 3 Powered Pallet Jack certification.
Job Duties:
- • Practice safe work and identify unsafe situations to the appropriate individuals
• Operate forklift and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring to conduct pre-driving inspection prior to use
• Transport materials in accordance with set standards
• Log issues with forklift and report to supervisors
• Identify and report faulty or damaged racking immediately to supervisors, log issues with forklift and report to supervisors
• Perform water maintenance on forklift when required
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or material handling equipment when required
• Deliver materials to the appropriate location
• Ensure all materials and skids have the correct labels and information
• Shipping duties, including building, and wrapping pallets, stocking raw materials
• Retrieve and deliver materials and moulds as required for production ensuring appropriate and accurate labelling of all items being stored
• Use handheld scanner to transfer inventory efficiently, while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Stock and replenish shelves, racks, cases, and bins in accordance with the FIFO method
• *Distro only* Perform general physical activities in the warehouse, including but not limited to; loading, unloading, sorting and the moving of products and materials
• *Manu only* Perform general production duties including, but not limited to, producing high quality Lush products,fill/pour/press/pack/label product accurately, keeping up with production demands
• Assist Inventory Controllers with inventory counts and inventory organization
• Conduct daily inventory counts, product rotation checks, investigate and reconciliation inventory issue
• Basic tasks in AX, such as inputting information.
• Supports new or returning staff as required with onboarding, demonstrations of daily duties and responsibilities while ensuring safety and SOP guidelines are being followed
• Adhere to room/departmental and company policies and best practices for quality, cleanliness and health and safety
• Perform general housekeeping and equipment cleaning duties
Qualifications required:
- Health and safety competency
- Able to perform all required Production Assistant/Distribution Associate duties
• Able to do physical work for 8-hour shifts, on your feet and lift 50 pounds
• Capable of physical activities such as standing for long durations, bending down, pulling, and pushing.
• Flexibility to work within the Distribution, Digital and Manufacturing businesses as required
• Can operate basic warehouse equipment (picking carts, handheld scanners, pump-trucks, etc.)
• Able to organize multiple tasks at the same time and establish priorities
• Able to remain motivated and engaged in work
• Able to communicate effectively with others
• Able to work in a team environment as well as individually
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Confident with basic mathematics, ability to count, including addition and subtraction
• Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
• Comfortable with reading, writing, and speaking English in order to communicate with peers and leadership on all platforms (i.e. in person, via email, via Google/Teams chat)
• Comfortable providing and receiving feedback
• Flexible to work all shifts and some holidays, overtime and weekends
• Commitment to abide by and oversee health & safety regulations
• Commitment to abide by and oversee our quality and good manufacturing practices
• Comfortable safely navigating MHE on a regular basis
• Relevant work experience
• Valid forklift certification(s)
• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator
• Practical knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Experienced with using counterbalance forklifts
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Basic proficiency of Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Experienced with using reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts
