Upholstery Sewing Machine Operator - Experience Required

Our client in the furniture industry is looking for an EXPERIENCED Upholstery Sewing Machine Operator who can sew manually and use a sewing machine to sew fabrics and items together. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND RESUME REQUIRED

FULL TIME JOB. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 40 HOURS A WEEK.
NO CASH JOBS. SIN REQUIRED.

Location : North York (Dufferin and Steeles)

- Morning shift: Mon-Fri 730am-4pm;   $18.00+ 4% hourly vacation pay = $18.72/hour 

Job Duties and Requirements

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Previous experience operating an Industrial Sewing Machine is required
  • Operating a sewing machine to sew fabric for furniture
  • Thread machine, change needles and adjust tension as required
  • Use and understand basic measurements
  • Ability to thread sewing machine and make simple adjustments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Adhere to proper health and safety protocol.
  • Responsible for quality control and quality assurance.
