Our client, a lighting design and manufacturing company is looking for a full-time Sprinter Van /Truck Driver to start immediately.
Job Duties:
- Driving a sprinter van / 26ft truck to drop off and pickup of goods to sub-contractors and clients in (but not limited to) the GTA
- Request signatures on packing slip of goods dropped off and remit to logistics team
- Check and count goods upon receipt and remit all packing slips to logistics team
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the company sprinter van, scheduling maintenance and reporting any issues to management
- During gaps in pickups and deliveries, assist the logistics coordinator in the warehouse with tasks such as preparing skids for shipment and putting away inventory.
Qualifications:
- Clean driving record minimum G license
- Able to drive at minimum a sprinter van, ability to drive a 26ft truck is a bonus.
- Comfortable driving for extended periods of time if needed
- In good physical health, able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Good communication in English is necessary
- Ability to work in a team focused environment
- Must wear safety boots and black work pants at all times
Compensation:
- Eligible to enroll in company group benefits program after 3 months.
- Eligible for 2 weeks of vacation per calendar year
- Uniform shirts provided by the company
