Tool and Die Maker (Concord)

Our clients in a leading Automotive Car parts manufacturing company are looking for tool and die makers to work in their Concord Location. The Tool& Die maker's main role is to provide all departments with safe, well maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet
Production requirements in a timely manner.

This is a direct hire position. Wage negotiable depending on experience.

Morning: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Afternoon: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Location: Vaughan / Concord (intersection of Keele and Rutherford)

Key Responsibilities and Authorities

 Performs tool and die maintenance work and repairs as required
 Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders/time sheets/log board entries/line book revisions as required in a timely manner
 Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions on the production line
 Ordering parts and following the parts received procedure
 Performing routine preventive maintenance as required
 Responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, organized and safe work area. Responsible for keeping logs and documentation up to date.
 Work in a safe manner and in compliance with the provisions of OHSA and the regulations. Proper use of all required PPE.
 Report to manager or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which you are aware and which may endanger yourself or another worker
 Not use or operate any equipment, machine, device or thing or work in a manner that may endanger yourself or
any other worker
 Adopt, practice, participate in Kaizen/ GEAR Principles and Activities
 Perform other duties as required (ie-special projects).
 Work in compliance and conform to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.

Basic Requirements and Competencies:

 Minimum 5 year’s experience as a licensed Tool and Die Maker or equivalent
 Extensive experience in Blueprint Reading, machining and assembly machine troubleshooting
 Ability to read, write and speak English
 Manufacturing experience, CNC operation/ programming, Good comunication skills are assets
