Food Safety Sanitor _ Etobicoke _ $19.75/hr

Our client is a leading baking Company. We are currently hiring a Food Safety Sanitor responsible for completing tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor. Can effectively prepare general sanitation chemicals and equipment cleaning requirements on all lines along with general housekeeping.

Position: Food Saftey Sanitor

Work location: Etobicoke (Hwy27 & Belfield Rd)

Start date: ASAP

Shifts Available: Any/All Shifts (Sunday to Thursday)

Pay rate: 19.75/hr (Including 4% Vacation Pay)

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for completing tasks assigned from master sanitation program for the facility and for special assignments as determined by the Sanitation Supervisor.
Help enforce requirements and procedures as instructed by the Sanitation Supervisor.
Understand, and experience preparing and effectively utilizing general sanitation chemicals (Safety Handling, Applications, Dilutions), and equipment cleaning requirements on all lines and general housekeeping.
Utilize and maintain in-house sanitation cleaning equipment (Power washers, Vacuums, and floor Scrubbers)
Understand, follow and maintain WHMIS procedures and regulations as required.
Understand, follow and maintain all sanitation programs and requirements

Qualification:

Strong knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP policies and procedures in a food manufacturing facility

Desired Skills & REQUIREMENTS: 

Wear safety shoes
Occasional heavy lifting assisted by a partner of 50 - 75 lbs
Occasionally to frequent exertion of up to 35 lbs of force
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
Open to working additional hours
Bending, significant walking, scrubbing, scraping, mopping, moving objects, pulling/ pushing equipment etc.
