Senior Consultant_Hyperion Planning and Essbase administration

Location: Remote / EST hours/ Mississauga, Ontario

Full-time 

Qualified candidates will have a strong background in Hyperion Planning and Essbase administration. The position will be responsible for providing highly technical support.

The specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintenance and support of the Hyperion Planning databases ensuring peak operating efficiency and minimal downtimes with the goal of no outages.
• Identifying and resolving issues that impact usability and system performance.
• Migrating data from and to Hyperion into and out of Oracle EBS and other systems.
• Developing technical designs and documentation to meet the client s requirements.
• Apply patches and upgrades as needed.
• Troubleshooting performance issues and promoting code for the Hyperion Planning application, adhering to the client s processes.
• Experience Required 3 - 8 years of strong experience in database administration with Hyperion Planning & Essbase
• Strong knowledge of all Hyperion EPM components (i.e. Hyperion Planning, Essbase, ODI, Financial Reporting), with more emphasis on troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting business on a day-to-day.
• Proficient in migrating Hyperion Planning application components from one environment to other using LCM.
• Knowledge of ASO table structure. Experience with meta-data management.
• Experience with documenting design specification and other related documents.
• Experience with Oracle EBS a plus but not required Skills Required Strong technical expertise in Essbase, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, maxL, XML publisher and other technologies in the Oracle landscape.
• Strong expertise as a technical resource, designing and delivering Hyperion Planning / Essbase solutions.
• Able to gain knowledge of the EPM architecture, processes, environment (application setup) and tools required to effectively perform support activities.
• Understands dependencies and interrelationships between functional components of Hyperion Planning among forms, business rules, calculation scripts, variables and Essbase databases.
• Ability to prioritize work load, strong technical, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with Data warehouse and experience with ETL processes.
• Ability to anticipate and proactively handle issues Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term support objectives.
• Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, IT teams, departments and levels.
