Process Technical Supervisor

Our client, a technical service provider that is focusing on a manufacturing growth partner utilizing technical resources, is looking for Technical Supervisors to join their growing team.

  • Day shift position ranging from $75-85k annual plus benefits
  • Working Location: Barrie, ON
  • Direct Hire, Permanent position 

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Supervises the work of employees in the work unit, ensure that all employees adhere to all company safety rules and policies on your shift
  • Train new employees on safe methods of conducting their job as per SWI
  • Follow and enforce all working cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures
  • Ensure completion of daily safety inspection check sheets by operators
  • Provide ongoing instruction to employees with regards to quality standards
  • Ensure that all production, scrap, and SPC is reported accurately
  • Ensure completion of first and last off product inspections
  • Continuously improve productivity through the process, and people
  • Prepare all required pre-mould change activities
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of mould change, including setting and verifying parameters, organizing work areas, quality problems and troubleshooting quality concerns
    Responsible for part quality and has the authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct quality problems
  • Initiate machine process, make adjustments within process tolerance and recommend any changes for improved efficiencies
  • Continually monitor all processes related to Injection Molding
  • Analyze and resolve any process problems. Resolve any product non-conformity issues that may arise
  • Creation and maintenance of operator training matrix
  • Completion of daily shift reports, pre-shift meetings and layered process audits

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in the medical manufacturing Industry
  • 5 Years minimum experience in injection moulding
  • Course work related to Injection Molding an asset
  • Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to relay instructions clearly
  • Must have experience processing plastics and setting tools
  • Must have sound knowledge of automation systems and controls
  • Problem-solving (including problem identification and solutions, both individually and with a team)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles required
  • Good communication, organizational, time management skills
  • The ability to write technical reports
  • Physically able to perform mould changes and other job duties
  • Good knowledge of SPC, (Statistical Process Control)
