Our client, a leading packaging manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Sales Professional to join their growing team.
Salary: $60K as base salary plus commission.
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sales Professional is to develop and grow the customer base in Eastern Canada with national & regional distributors and grocery store chains. By offering innovative and sustainability-minded packaging solutions, our team helps customers reduce their environmental impact, develop creative and functional new packaging, and enhance consumer experience.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Through innovation, sustainability, and business relationships, maintain and grow a customer base of distributors, grocery store chains and regional opportunities.
- Develop new packaging solutions to exceed customer expectations for ease-of-use, brand awareness, environmental impact reduction and added value.
- Work closely with Structural Designers and Estimators as well as with Customer Service, Production Control and Shipping departments.
- Understand and align business and logistics operations including order planning, scheduling, warehousing, and customer services.
- Not limited to and including other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Experience:
- Creative and innovative mindset that thrives in providing sustainability-based packaging solutions to the Canadian marketplace.
- Customer-driven and committed to exceeding customer expectations.
- Adapt their communications to production teams, buying groups, designers, packaging technical specialists and individual customer personalities.
- University or College degree in business or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Some knowledge in the distribution of Away-From-Home products, through distributors and grocery store chains.
- Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
- 3 – 5 years direct sales experience
- Looking for a proven track record in hunting new business, measured success, personal and employment accomplishments.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams.
- Ability to take initiatives and ability to adapt.
- Not limited to and including other duties as assigned.
