$18.80/hr Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Scarborough / Markham, ON.
Leading Cosmetics manufacture is looking for an experienced Material Handler starting ASAP!
JOB FUNCTION
To satisfy internal and external customer demand as well as responsible for accurately and efficiently storing and handling stock in the warehouse.
Working Location: Sheppard & Mccowan OR Highway 404 & Major MacKenzie
Shift:
- Afternoon shift
- Night shift
Salaety: $18.80 / hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Completion of daily duties
· Pick production orders, supplier requisitions and all other stock requests as per required quantities, accurately and in a timely manner
· Locate production returns and received material into warehouse ensuring that codes and quantities are correct
· Receive inbound materials
· Prepare bills of lading, verify and load out domestic and export shipments
· Operate an Order-Picker and Reach Truck in accordance with the standard safe operating practice
· Carry out tasks on Radio Frequency Gun and in SAP system
2. Inventory Control
· Participate in cycle count program
· Report all inventory discrepancies to the inventory Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
· Accurately control and carry out transactions on radio Frequency gun and in SAP system
3. Continuous Process Improvement
· Support company programs
· Participate in cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives to achieve departmental goals and objectives
4. Special Projects
· Participate in special projects as assigned by management
5. Health and Safety
· Proactively identify and resolve safety concerns
· Observe and conform to all corporate EH&S guidelines and procedures
· Adhere to established Lockout/Tag-out Programs
· Actively participate and evaluate PSR’s
· Participate in the establishment of annual EH&S objectives
6. Housekeeping
· Maintain clean work environment on the production floor and within the warehouse
· Conform to all ergonomic assessment requirements
· Actively participate and support the Canadian Supply Chain 5S Program
Qualifications
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent, Forklift certificate required
Experience: Minimum of 6 months’ work-related experience in a warehouse environment. Experience driving a forklift required. Experience in shipping is an asset
Competencies: Experience with materials management handling equipment such as power pallet jacks and forklifts required. Some computer and data entry experience is necessary as well as experience with Radio Frequency hand-held guns
