Junior Welder in Sarnia, ON

Our client is looking for a Junior Welder to start ASAP.

Position: Temp to Perm

Shift: Day shift, 10 hours per day. Friday only half of the day. 

Location: Sarnia, ON

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have established knowledge in how to perform Mig & T welding

  • Must be able to pass an in-house weld test.

  • Must be able to read welding blue prints.

  • Have accurate knowledge of equipment that is used to cut different types of materials

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires minimum of ten hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
  • Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
  • Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must understand how to safely operate equipment in designed fashion.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
