A leading machine manufacturing company is looking out for an experienced Manual Milling Machinist to join ASAP.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift Days 6:30am – 4:00 pm Afternoon: 3:30 pm – 1:00 am
- Pay rate: $22/hr -$28 base on your experience
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Machinist – Milling is responsible for set up and operation of Manual Milling Machine (FirtWirth / Dahlih)
to perform milling and drilling operations on various materials (CRS / HRS / 4140). Qualify all drawing
dimensions as being correct and complete per drawing.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Machine variety of components in varying materials on Manual Milling Machines to meet or exceed company's standards
Review drawings and specifications and select and set up correct tooling requirements for each job
Set-up Job parts on Milling Machine as required , parts range in varying sizes and dimensions
Use power crane to lift parts as required
Record all dimensions as machined on drawings
Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machines to Lead Hand
Operate machinery/equipment and work in a safe manner
Maintain a clean and neat work area and surrounding area
Log in and out on EPICOR MES; record all operations as complete or not complete, including quantities
Assist with other tasks, projects, depts., as required
Carry out tasks/activities according to company & safety policies, standards, and ISO procedures
EDUCATION:
Completion of Secondary School
Completion of college/vocational or technical training
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
2- 5 years experience as a Machinist
Blueprint reading skills
Other machine shop skills an asset
Good communication skills
