Manual Lathe Operator

A leading machine manufacturing company is looking out for experienced Machinist to join ASAP.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday

- Shift 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

- Pay rate: $22/hr -$28 base on your experience

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Machinist – Lathe is responsible for set up and operation of Manual lathes to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, threading. Qualify all drawing dimensions as being correct and complete per drawing.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 Machine variety of components in varying materials on Microweily manual lathes to meet or exceed
 Review drawings and specifications and tooling requirements for each job
 Job set-up as required , parts range up to 100” in length and up to 10” in diameter
 Record all dimensions as machined on drawings
 Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machines to Lead Hand
 Operate machinery/equipment and work in a safe manner
 Maintain a clean and neat work area and surrounding area
 Assist with other tasks, projects, depts., as required
 Carry out tasks/activities according to company & safety policies, standards, and ISO procedures

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
  2-5 years experience as a Machinist
 Blueprint reading skills
 Other machine shop skills an asset
 Good communication skills
