Robot Programmer Lead
Our client delivers automation solutions to Fortune 500 manufacturers across North America.
Currently, we are looking for Robot Programmer Lead to join the team as soon as possible in Windsor.
- Competitive compensation package, RRSP match and full benefits.
- Working location: Windsor, Ontario
- Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8-5 when on site in Windsor doing the Engineering and then when this person is on-site they typically work 10-12/hr shifts 5 to 6 days a week.
- Overtime: Paid after 40 hrs.
- This position is 75% travel to the US/Canada.
Description:
- Provide Robot Programming solutions to various clients throughout North America and sometimes Mexico
- Programming, editing and troubleshooting control programs for Robots for MIG welding and Material Handling applications
- Frequent travel based on customer needs
- Technical consultation with client, strong customer service skills
Must Haves:
- 4+ years working as a Robot Programmer dealing specifically with MIG welding and Material Handling applications
- Degree or Diploma in Robotics or related discipline
- Solid proficiency programming ABB robots highly preferred
- Able to configure robots from scratch (not just from a template or spec - must have created the template or spec previously)
- Able to program online and offline using proper robot editors
- Able to develop flow charts or Sequence of Operations
- Legally eligible to work in both Canada AND the United States - TN eligible
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel
EXPENSES:
- All travel expenses are taken care of by the company. The expense for meals and rental cars will be provided for travel as well.
