Our client, a food production company, now is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join their team.

Location: Mississauga
Responsibility:
- Responsible for troubleshoot, repair and maintenance for all machines and facility
- Regularly inspect food processing equipment in accordance with Health & Safety Procedures
- Performing preventive maintenance procedures on building and production equipment on a regular basis, such as inspecting belts, fluid levels, filter replacing etc.
- Preparing, organizing and ordering spare parts as needed to maintain inventory at optimal level
- Responds promptly to all emergency maintenance requests
- Responsible for installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving machinery among food processing lines
- Communicate and work professionally in a teamwork environment with other maintenance personnel and departments
- Work in and promote a safe environment;
- Must work strictly in compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, CFIA and GMP’s.
Qualification
- Maintenance technician/mechanic: 2 years (Preferred)
- Good communication skills, Cantonese or Mandarin speaking is an asset
- High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
- Minimal 1-2 years of proven working experience as industrial technician/mechanic
- Strong problem-solving skills and can independently or as a team
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, machinery, mechanics and electricals
- Able to troubleshoot, repair or replace pumps, gearboxes, motors, VFD, conveyors, mixers and ovens
- Familiar with SOP, GMP, CCP, CFIA,PLC and CMMS of food processing is an asset
- Canadian red seal trade certification is an asset (442A or 443A preferred)
- Completion Canadian apprenticeship is an asset
