Our client is a Toronto-based global multidisciplinary design and manufacturing firm that specializes in contemporary decorative lighting fixtures, currently hiring Project Manager to join the team in Toronto.
Working location: Toronto Downtown
Responsibilities
- Monitor company order status for all China suppliers and report the status to the team timely.
- Improve lead time and delivery on time by effective communication between the team and suppliers.
- Set up product and quality requirements for Vendors and improve product quality.
- Source new suppliers in China and control purchase cost.
- Manage and control key projects over all phases and report the status to management team timely.
- Improve project management process for more efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Duties
- Check the status for each order with every China supplier daily.
- Get the PI, finish samples and drawings from both design team and suppliers, in-process pictures and final inspection report and pictures according to the time frame.
- Report the order status to the team weekly, coordinate the shipment with Supply Chain and suppliers.
- Work with sales team and PM team to get clear client’s requirements, approved drawings, and/or finish samples.
- Check the shop drawings from the suppliers and forward for review and approval.
- Review and summarize company comments on the supplier’s shop drawings and provide feedback to the suppliers.
- Work with PM team to manage project lead time and delivery to clients.
- Work on some key projects for whole project management process from submittal drawings, finish samples to final delivery.
