Corporate Senior HR Manager / Human Resource Business Partner

Leading Automotive Manufacturing company is looking for a Senior HR Manager/ HRBP to join the team in the North Toronto area. This role will provide HR consulting services in all areas, responsible for the identification and resolution of critical issues and the implementation of HR policies and practices that align with global HR strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  • Acts as the primary HR advisor, provides guidance, direction and advice to leaders, managers and employees on key workplace matters such as talent management, employee relations, compensation, organizational design, employee engagement, performance management, and management/leadership development
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Centres of Expertise and Talent Acquisition partners, to ensure timely delivery of business solutions within the framework of the global HR strategy
  • Proactively identify recruitment needs and support recruitment efforts as required
  • Promote an open-door policy and communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Supports senior leaders with initiatives such as compensation planning, employee communications, organizational design, change management
  • Ensures that all HR programs/ processes and policies comply with applicable legislation and company practices
  • Maintain fairness, equity and respect in the workplace
  • Actively promote, follow, and enforce all security and safety practices
  • Respond to employee and management requests in a timely manner
  • Oversee the administration of the performance management process
  • Maintains documentation for the HR Department in accordance with identified quality management system
  • Health and safety leadership and participation
  • Support and deliver department related KPI’s 


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the manufacturing industry 
  • University degree specializing in Human Resources Management
  • CHRL designation is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation in Employment Standards, Human Rights Act, OHSA, and other relevant Canadian/ provincial legislation.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan resources to achieve strategic goals
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with HR manufacturing practices
  • Experience in disability management, WSIB, STD and LTD
  • Demonstrated training and development skills
  • Ability to travel to the US to support client groups
