Leading Automotive Manufacturing company is looking for an HR Manager to join the team in Etobicoke location.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on key workplace matters such as performance management, employee relations, and employee development
- Act as a strategic and operational business partner to supervisors and managers
- Promote an open-door policy and communicate effectively with all levels of employees
- Proactively identify recruitment needs and support recruitment efforts as required
- Ensure the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to plant and corporate culture
- Maintain fairness, equity and respect in the workplace
- Actively promote, follow, and enforce all security and safety practices
- Respond to employee and management requests in a timely manner
- Payroll and benefits administration, including preparing payroll files for processing
- Oversee the administration of the performance management process
- WSIB and disability management
- Health and safety leadership and participation
- Support and deliver department related KPI’s (turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry (or light/medium manufacturing)
- HR Certification or Diploma (CHRL designation is an asset)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian employment laws, ESA Standards
- Working knowledge of health and safety law/legislation
- Ability to coordinate and plan resources to achieve strategic goals
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Strong working knowledge and experience with HR manufacturing practices
- Experience in payroll systems (ADP) is preferred
- Experience in disability management, WSIB, STD and LTD
- Proficient in creating HR reports, statistics, KPIs
- Demonstrated training and development skills
