Our client, a leading manufacturer of fluid flow systems, is looking for a Global Training Manager to lead their technical, sales, and business training programs across the globe.
Full-time, perm role
Location: Scarborough, ON
Salary: $100K, based on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all on-line, live and virtual training programs in operations, business systems, sales and sales support, and general business learning opportunities
- Review and determine the most appropriate mode of delivery depending on course content and attendees
- Ensure course content is kept relevant and current
- Develop and execute organizational development programs such as Onboarding, Values immersion, Learning Curve, Skills Protection Program, etc.
- Support the human resource managers to action individual development plans
- Review all current offerings compared to the needs of the business and make recommendations to change or add programs as required
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop content for new programs
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) contract and relationship
- Oversee the administration of all eligibility data in the ALA including employees and external partners
- Produce and analyze executive reports on usage and effectiveness of training programs
- Develop a Manager’s Dashboard for tracking training assignment and completion
- Work with SMEs to improve their delivery of technical programs, through coaching on training techniques, presentation style, program content management, session follow-up, etc.
- Recruit, train, and manage a small global support team
- Supervise the training team, including performance management, goal setting, values alignment and time management
Requirements:
- University Degree or equivalent with appropriate training credentials, relevant industry training in corporate adult education
- Global experience managing training programs in multiple countries
- 15 + years of training and development program experience, in an engineering-based product company
- Demonstrated knowledge of training program development, facilitation, and content management
- Creative problem-solving skills, conflict management within different organizations
- Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action
- Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations; a second language is a definite asset
