HR Manager

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company is looking for an HR Manager to join the London plant, accountable for labour relations, develop and implement innovative HR strategies and initiatives.

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Working location: London, ON.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage the development and implementation of specific HR strategies and initiatives for the plant that support plant goals;
• Offer insight and solutions for human resource issues that have an impact on the plant/business;
• Analyze labour data and makes appropriate recommendations;
• Manage labour relations, interprets policies and collective agreement, provides guidance to plant management, leads the investigation of issues, and makes recommendations in the resolution of issues;
• Manage recruitment for hourly and salaried positions;
• Maintain the Health and Safety program for the facility.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience with a degree in such discipline as Business, Labour Relations, Human Resources or equivalent years of experience;
• Thorough knowledge of Labour Relations,  Human Rights and Employment Standards and their application;
• Experience in LEAN/TPM/Manufacturing Excellence an asset;
• Strong change management experience for processes and people;
• Analytical skills balanced with the ability to make and execute recommendations;
• Positive attitude and unwavering commitment to delivering results.
