Manager, HRBP

Our client, a leading manufacturer of skin care, cosmetics, fragrance, and hair care products, is looking for a HRBP Manager to join their team. The HRBP Manager is responsible for leading a broad range of HR responsibilities including organizational design and change management, employee relations and engagement, performance management and talent development, recruitment, learning and development, HR process and procedures. This is for a true generalist with passion and high learning agility.

 

Perm-hire, full-time

Salary: $90K-$95K

Location: Markham, ON

 

Job Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education, University Degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HR Management or a related field required
  • CHRP/CHRL preferred
  • Experience within Manufacturing, Supply Chain / R&D environments preferred
  • Strong computer skills with MS office, HR Systems (Taleo, Oracle or similar HR systems).
  • Working knowledge of related Regulatory Legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong business knowledge/acumen and experience with implementing organizational design and change management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused and able to build trust and collaborative relationships at all levels and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • High learning agility, strong capability for problem-solving, data analytic & decision making and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Solid track record of driving positive employee relations that builds trust and Engages, Enables, and Empowers employees.
  • Superior organizational skills, understands priorities, anticipates, detailed oriented, accurate and organized.
  • Driver’s License required, travel between facilities in GTA required (5% of time).

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Advise and support managers in organizational design and change management project plans, communications, and programs.
  • Establish strong partnerships with Site leadership and employees in support of developing the optimal culture to drive high performance, retention and engagement.
  • Coach and develop to resolve all performance and other employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and partnering with Legal when necessary.
  • Use judgment when issues require intervention/elevation to the next level of management.
  • Coach employees and supervisors on appropriate responses and give advice on how to handle sensitive matters.
  • Lead performance management and talent development, merit, and bonus processes for assigned employees.
  • Ensure training, communication on process and timelines, and assisting with all phases of the year end process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Support Talent planning program
  • Identify and provide succession planning opportunities, provide feedback and guidance to appropriate managers as it relates to the Company Performance Management process.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for designated population and partners with the Talent Acquisition team on recruiting efforts.
  • Support local orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Work closely with appropriate contacts to develop recruitment processes and practices, in line with HR Strategy.
  • Work with the Compensation team to ensure equitable compensation for roles.
