Afternoon shift

 

Responsibilities:

·         Work within the maintenance department supporting the setup, changeover, and servicing of processing, filling and packaging equipment in a manner to ensure the achievement of output and quality standards while maintaining all health & safety and HACCP standards as prescribed by the Company’s programs.

·         Support equipment operators in the daily operation of equipment to achieve output and quality standards.

·         Support equipment shut down, overhaul, cleaning, and start up activities including issuance of safe work permits.

·         Complete routine daily and weekly maintenance work schedules to prepare equipment and work permits in a timely manner to facilitate strict compliance to schedules.

·         Troubleshoot and problem solve equipment and process issues with team members to ensure immediate and long-term corrective actions.

·         Participate in daily corrective and preventative maintenance, and breakdown analysis activities based on a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) model.

·         Ensure and enforce that all safety devices are working properly.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

·         Mechanical aptitude, problem solving, job planning and organizing skills.

·         Proficiency in reading electrical ladder diagrams.

·         Experience with industrial mechanics, pneumatic, hydraulic, computer, PLC, logic, sensors and other electronic devices.

·         Post-secondary education in engineering or instrumentation and control or several years of relevant work experience.

·         Multi-tasking experience among and within complex systems.

·         Experience with combination scales and related packaging equipment is preferred.

·         Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

·         Good verbal and written communication.
