Scope
This position covers duties and responsibilities of the Toolmaker.
Reporting To:
Reports directly to Press Supervisor.
Safety equipment requirements
The wearing of appropriate safety equipment as described below is a condition of employment, not one of choice. Safety equipment that must be worn while at duty is: Standard Protective Equipment
Major duties and responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain tools and dies as assigned.
• Trouble shooting and repair dies in press.
• Reviews and completes tool service reports.
• Review tooling at the end of a production run and determine die status.
• Work in a safe manner at all times.
• Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
• Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
• Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level III Procedure manual.
• Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in compliance and conform to QS9000, TS16949 and ISO14001 standards

Work equipment operation:
Toolmaker must be capable of operating the following equipment:
a. Variety of hand tools
b. Press troubleshooting experience
c. Must have experience in progressive tools
Experience and skills required:
• Minimum five ( 5 ) years experience in progressive tools, and press troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills in dealing with Supervision in Machine department and/or Foundry.
• Good communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English pertaining to drawings and/or blueprints.
Shift and Salary:
This is Rotating shift; candidate must be flexible for 3 shifts 
$25/hr
Morning : 7am-3pm 
Afternoon: 3pm-11pm
Night shift: 11pm-7am
