Telephone Banking Specialist Inbound - London, ON

Our client is a leading bank in North America.

As an Telephone Banking Specialist (inbound), your responsibility will be to contribute to Phone Channel’s Customer Experience Index by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service that exceeds customer expectations; contribute to effective cost and risk control through productivity and adherence to corporate processes and controls; and achieve departmental sales targets through recommendation of appropriate products and services which meet our ever-changing customer needs. You will be able to recognize and successfully leverage opportunities to further expand our clients' business through cross-selling. 

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our incoming call centre clients. In addition, you will contribute to our team by identify all sales opportunities to retain and grow our business through your ability to advise and offer our clients a full range of products and services to meet their needs via the telephone. (Products and services include investments, new accounts, visa products, overdraft, telephone/web banking registrations and support, bill payment registrations, processing and general enquiries). As an Telephone Banking Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience by providing high quality service at every interaction and ensuring customer concerns are being handled appropriately, while working in a dynamic fast pace environment. 

Job Requirements:

If you are passionate about providing superior customer service and enjoy engaging in client-focused conversations, while being challenged with meeting and exceeding your personal sales goals. You possess excellent listening and verbal communication skills and demonstrate a sincere approach to helping others. You are a self starter who will take the initiative to obtain solutions and are able to stay focused, pay attention to detail and follow established operating procedures. You are comfortable working independently and within a team environment. You have the ability to multitask and embrace change. Call centre and banking experience is an asset. 

Start Date February 18th, 2014 

Schedules after Training: Fixed evenings (12pm-2pm start times or 2pm to 6pm start times or fully rotational shifts) 
Training: 8:00am-4:00pm (full time paid training (37.5 weekly) for 10 weeks 
Full availability is required for the scheduled rotation however minimum number of hours not guaranteed.

12-month contract, possibility of extension or to be hired 

Pay rate: $17.19/hr
