Sales Analyst - Markham

Our client, a leading food company is hiring a sales & Marketing Analyst to join their growing team which is located at Markham.

Location: Markham

Salary: $45K + Bonus

Contract duration: May 2018 to July 2019

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Sales and Commercialization teams. The main role of this position is to create sales and financial reports that support the sales and commercialization teams in meeting financial budgeted goals. Areas of specific importance are Tableau and SharePoint analysis & reporting, creating sales materials/presentations and competed ad hoc request from senior sales management.

Job duties and responsibilities:

§  Tableau and SharePoint Analysis and Reporting

• Assisting VP in customer performance tracking vs. budget and year ago
• Assist in identifying white space opportunities with Top 50 customers; provide support to sales team to close opportunities
• Lead customer updates/reviews at monthly sales meeting
• Develop and maintain a master price list
• Create sales reports that assist sales in managing their customers
  Monthly Top 15 Customer Budget Report
  Price Increase analysis and tracking sales execution
  Finished goods and packaging inventory reporting
  Competitive Customer Pricing Analysis
  Broker Commission Rate Reports

§  Sales Support Material

• Developing and maintaining sales sheets for all relevant product segments (visuals, romance copy, and technical, logistics and nutritional information)
• Create and maintain product brochures for generic uses (trade shows) and specifics uses (customer presentations)

§  Sales presentation

• Provide support to sales team in developing sale presentation for customers

  • Total information

  • Customer specific information

  • Consumer data – as needed

• Assist in adding creative elements in presentations

§ Pipeline

• Coordinate timely communication of pipeline updates with sales team

• Maintain pipeline files

• Track actual past 12-month new product sales

• Provide pipeline updates to management as needed

• Support sales team in key commercialization opportunities as defined by the Pipeline

• Assist sales team in managing other high priority commercialization projects

§ Manage the email inquiries

Qualifications:

• Business Degree specializing in Finance or Marketing
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales support, finance or marketing role
• Advanced level MS Excel skills (knowledge and experience with functions such as v-lookup, h-lookup, pivot tables & macros)
• Proven strong analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated strong business acumen
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to articulate analytical results
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm
• Enabling attitude with a willingness to learn
• Self-motivated; excels with little supervision
• Ability to multi-task; is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
