Technical Services Analyst

Our client, a leading soft drinks and fruit juices bottler, is looking for a Technical Services Analyst to join their Information Technology department. Reporting to the Manager of IT Technical Services, the Analyst will be responsible for providing superior ustomer service to the end-users. 

 

Permanent role

Salary: $75k - $85k

Location: Mississauga

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides desk-side support of end user issues
  • Educating internal customers when they are setting up or experiencing trouble with software or equipment
  • Installation and maintenance of software and equipment to workstations 
  • Document and obtain approval for installations or changes
  • Troubleshooting internal application issues, researching solutions from multiple sources to resolve 
  • Ticket management and prioritization, handling multiple incident requests
  • Proactive documentation of technical procedures
  • Coordinating and planning of special projects as required 
  • Participating in cross training with other Technical Services Analysts
  • Researching new products and software, while staying up to date with new technologies 
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures and upholding high customer service standards 
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal customers 
  • Work flexible hours upon request for on-call rotation service periods

  • Be proactive, organized, and able to handle multiple incident requests 
  • Ability to be professional during stressful situations 
  • Able to work flexible hours during on-call rotation service periods 
  • Able to track and document information regarding end-user incident requests 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written 
  • Organized and detail orientated, adaptable to change 
  • to prioritize, work independently, multitask and work in a time sensitive, dynamic environment 
  • Willingness to learn new software and upgrades in technology 
  • Ability to follow set standards and take direction

 

Education/Experience:

  • University or college degree in related field or the equivalent in working experience (Computer Information Systems Diploma/Degree preferred) 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an IT service environment 
  • Experience trouble shooting in the following: Windows 7 and Windows 10, Citrix Client, Cisco VPN Client, Wireless Network Client, Microsoft Office 
  • Working knowledge of how to troubleshoot Dell, Lenovo, HP laptops and desktops and servers
