Job Description

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for an Operations Officer to join their team. We are looking for detail oriented administrative professionals that can work in a fast paced environment. 

 

Contract term: 23/04/2018 to 19/04/2019 (1 year), extension and conversion is possible

Pay rate: $22.00/hour

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday between 8:00AM-4:00PM

 

MUST HAVE:

English (Read Write and Speak) 

Customer service skills 

Strong MS office 

Ability to multitask and can handle the pressure and demand of the workload 

Can speak professionally to merchants, can navigate and toggle through various systems and websites
NICE TO HAVE

Credit card exp such as (Visa, MC, Discover 

Sales experience 

Telephone skills and Claims exp.
 

Summary: The chargeback officer responds to a variety of customer inquiries related to credit card/debit card disputes. The role is required to understand customers needs and dispute regulations for all the credit cards in order to achieve a high level of customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Limit and control non-credit losses by reviewing chargebacks for accuracy, completeness and timelines 

Minimize potential risk to the bank by proactively identifying and acting on suspicious activity 

Ensure established processing procedures and practices are followed in reference to chargebacks 

Meet daily processing levels of chargebacks to satisfy customers 

Communicate with and provide support to internal and external customer 

Be knowledgeable to adhere to the chargeback cycle and the time limits related to each code 

Identify new processes to more effectively contribute to the overall success of the department by reducing non value-add workflow 

Remain current with internal communication and industry trends 

Maintain knowledge of procedures and regulations at all times through constant review of reference materials, Intranet sites
SKILLS:

Able to meet or exceed timelines and SLA expectations 

Excellent time management skills 

Previous chargeback experience an asset but not required 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 

Able to work in a fast paced environment & efficiently manage workflow 

Proactive and flexible to work in a changing environment 

Excellent written and verbal communications skills English
 

EDUCATION: 


High school required.
Post-secondary education preferred. 

5-7 years of related experience required.
