Senior Developer

Our company is looking for a Senior Developer to join our growing team. 

Job Description

• Lead a team of developers through the design, development, enhancement and support of web based and Desktop applications using Microsoft technologies
• Solve complex technical problems and design solutions while following best practice guidelines 
• Manage the the team through generating quality user stories and distributing the workload for each realease, implementing the best practices for the full software development life cycle, setting up and maintaining builds for continuous integration; and performing code reviews
• Develop new solutions and maintain existing ones (coding and testing)
  Apply performance tuning 
• Communicate effectively with other members of the IT team,  end users, and partners  to prototype and implement product features

Job Requirements

• 2+ years as a Development Team Leader, mentoring and guiding team members. 
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Expert-level knowledge of:
  Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET,  ASP.Net MVC, Web Services) and Microsoft SQL Server 
  HTML5 and CSS
  JavaScript and jQuery
  Service-oriented design and implementation (SOAP/REST)
  MVC and MVVM front-end design and development with frameworks such as Kendo UI  or similar
• Experience with TFS, unit testing, debugging, profiling, Visual Studio and other tools that are typically used by developers on Microsoft technology stack 
• Object oriented design and programming. 
• Experience with devOps concepts and continuous integration tools including setting up builds and deployments to web servers. 
• Fluent Entity Framework experience a plus 
  Knowledge of common web application security vulnerabilities and how to prevent them
  Ability to empathize with our users and champion for their experience. 
  Strong communication and technical writing skills
  Experience in Mobile development using Xamarin is a plus
  Experience in developing Payroll and Scheduling applications is a plus
  Experience with Autofac or other dependency injection containters is a plus

Working Location: North York

Salary: 80k - 90k
