Bilingual Banking Service Officer III

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for an Operations Officer to join their Regulatory Fulfillment team. We are looking for individuals responsible for providing various administrative support duties to the Claims department.

 

Contract term: 09/04/2018 to 05/10/2018

Pay rate: $17.50/hr

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

 

Must have skills: 

  • Must be Bilingual
  • Fast learner, ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Outlook definitely- Microsoft office knowledge word, excel
  • Administrative or customer service background

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of insurance

 

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide a high level of administrative support to our business partners ensuring the optimal level of customer service and professionalism
  • Manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met
  • Apply appropriate due diligence ensuring accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all required supporting documentation (i.e. reports, payments, invoices, correspondence/communications, data entry, files, etc.)
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality, escalate where appropriate
  • Efficiently manage expectations/concerns through strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Maintain proficiency with software applications/programs and/or department specific systems as required (ie. MS Office, Word, Claim Centre, As400, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Efficiently manage and promptly respond to all incoming enquiries/requests for information independently or re-direct to the appropriate person/area
  • Take initiative to identify and recommend improvements in own job function, research and/or investigate issues requiring resolution in order to execute on assigned tasks
  • Assist and cooperates with colleagues during peak periods, vacation times and special projects, while maintaining own personal workload.
  • Assists with Departmental procedures to improve levels of efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensures quality standards are met.
  • Provides back up support to the reception department. 

 

Education:

  • Post secondary preferred
  • 5-7 years of related experience
