ArtiosCAD Designer / Design Coordinator

Our Client is a manufacturer and specializes in outdoor recreation products, especially camping gear.

Qualifications:
Knowledge in ArtiosCAD and Structural design is a must
Experience in corrugate or packing Industry
Must have excellent communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities:

Initiating meetings with sales and internal team when questions or issues arise with complex
items or packs
2. Designs solutions that address needs of the customer or that create unique solutions that
provide competitive edge (reducing cost or solving business problems for customer)
3. Liaise with sales, production, vendors, appropriate managers, and customer where required
4. Generate ArtiosCAD design
5. Complete accurate and timely quotations as required
6. Develop and Maintain Dockets, statistical data and filing system
7. Adhere to all Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions
8. Review and revise routing in specs on an on-going basis to support continuous improvement
9. Operate ArtiosCAD Table in a safe and effective manner, to cut samples and on occasion to produce
small production orders
10. On occasion, receive files from external design house and operate equipment based on
information in the file. Follow up when necessary.
11. Modify or redesign based on customer feedback when required
12. Maintain a log of all samples produced and associated information.
13. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
14. Ensure maintenance and preventative maintenance requirements are adhered to for CAD
Table.

15. Report any potential mechanical problems to the maintenance department.
16. Responsible for computer terminal and all tools associated with the CAD Table.
17. Recommend measures to improve CAD Table methods and quality of product.
18. Manage and maintain sample sheet inventory.
19. Purchase and expedite steel rule dies and printing plates for new items with outside vendors.
Design team to purchase or arrange to have all items available for an assembled pack, such as
skids, corner post, and plastic bags. All the miscellaneous item that go along with a pack.
20. Work with Amtech and Workflow system

Permanent, Full time position

Annual Rate: $38,000
