Banking Administrative Assistant I

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for a Banking Administrative Assistant to join their team. We are looking for individuals with professional, custom tailored investment advice and planning, while maintaining participation in the decision making process regarding their financial affairs. 

 

Contract term:02/04/2018 to 01/04/2019 (1 year), possible extension and conversion

Pay rate: $16.47/hr

Full time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am - 3:00pm

 

Must have:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Positive energy, eager to learn, ability to Multitask
  • Strong understanding of Securities

 

Nice to have:

  • Recent Graduate or Enrolled in MBA Program
  • Securities Industry related courses (CSC/IFIC/PFP/CFP)

 

Summary: The Client Service Associate will provide quality, efficient and specialized support on a diverse range of assignments. This position will provide dedicated support to an Investment Advisor (IA) or teams of IA's and as required to other branch staff. 

 

Job Description:

  • Correspondence and assemble documentation for accounts;
  • Maintain accurate marketing materials, assemble required documentation in advance of sales presentations and assist with marketing mail out activities;
  • Maintain current knowledge of, and comply with, all compliance regulations, securities laws, risk and confidentiality requirements and the TD Code of Conduct and Ethics;
  • Process client applications and transfer ins in a timely manner;
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and accurately;
  • Verify and correct any errors or omissions in daily transaction summaries;
  • Ensure satisfactory resolution of client inquiries and take ownership of coordinating responses with other branches/departments as necessary;
  • Maintain complete client files and sure documentation in good order;
  • Participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment;
  • Share expertise of position relevant information and changes discovered.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Community College Diploma preferred
  • Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook certification preferred
  • Posses excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Technical aptitude towards learning and using ISM, Croesus, Order Management and IWPS
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with the Bank and Industry codes of conduct and with securities laws and regulations
  • Goal Focused
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle fast paced environment
