Business Support Officer (9 Month Contract)

Our client is a leading bank in North America. Target Start Date: August 1 Pay Rate: $18 Working Hours: 8:00-4:30 M-F Department Overview: Purchasing and Fixed Asset Accounting has an opportunity for an individual with advanced customer service skills and a positive outgoing attitude to join our Team. The position requires finance knowledge with the ability to thrive in a busy and time sensitive environment. Job Duties: Exercise due diligence on all internal requests by performing adequate verification/authorization and be knowlegeable of Team’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Resolve complex or sensitive customer issues thoroughly and completely and/or escalate as required. Maintain accurate Fixed Asset records through processing of various maintenance requests on Oracle Fixed Asset system e.g. for transfers, write offs, additions etc. and be proactive in identifying and correcting any errors. Generate/prepare regular and/or ad-hoc management reports/reconciliations by extracting data from applicable systems. Support Analyst with handling inquiries, monthly activities and SOX audits. Identify and/or recommend potential process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance efficiencies within own area. Participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment . Participate as required in the implementation of operational improvements and system enhancements or upgrades that impact Purchasing and Fixed Assets systems. Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Superior communication skills both written and verbal are required. Must possess a sound understanding of basic accounting concepts and functions. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite . Proven ability to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment . A positive, self-motivated team player, focused on setting and achieving team objectives. Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment. Ability to multi task.
