Banking Service Officer III

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for Servce Officers to join their Small Business Banking team. We are looking for individuals with previous banking experience in a similar role with a focus on reviewing documentation as well as customer service, data entry, and proficiency in MS Office. 

 

Contract term: 12/02/2018 to 31/08/2018 (6 months)

Pay rate: $19.85/hour

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotational 8 hour shift between 8:00am-8:00pm, flexibility required

 

Must have:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience reviewing, auditing documentation
  • Banking experience
  • Tech Savvy 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 4 years of Customer Service experience
  • Data entry experience
  • MS Office

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review new accounts and signing authority changes for accuracy and completion of AML/KYC/KYB information
  • Ensure all documentation meets requirements 
  • Contribute to the customer experience in each interaction
  • Ensure all required processing and enquiries are fulfilled meeting Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure work volumes are processed accurately and effectively on a day to day basis minimizing risk to the Bank and negative impact to customer
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately & within established standard
  • Contribute to the achievement of satisfactory audits by understanding & following audit and process guidelines
  • Identify areas of risk and escalate as necessary
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Support the team by continually developing knowledge and being current on AML/KYC/KYB requirements and regulations
  • Keep others up to date on relevant and useful information related to day to day activities
  • Identify, suggest and actively participate in process improvements
  • Adopt new process and technology improvements
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of Small Business Banking current account opening and account maintenance 

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • The successful candidate must be able to work well independently and as part of a team 
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential
  • Must be accurate, resourceful and have a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in changing, fast paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Solid computer skills are required
  • Customer driven with a focus on providing exceptional customer service at all times
  • Ability to take ownership of a situation at all times and know when to escalate issues as
    required
