Production Team Lead

Our client is one of the largest manufacturer and distributor of food packaging and foodservice products, currently we are looking for 2 Production Team Leads job the company.

POSITION SUMMARY: Operate the various thermoforming and radiant machines, resulting in the production and packaging of quality products as per customer requirements

Day and Afternoon shifts available

Working location: Summerstown, ON

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Comply and promote all EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions in place.
2. Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize
cost while maintaining quality.
3. Supervise 10 to 15 employees.
4. Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
5. Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees.
6. Planning, assigning and directing work.
7. Appraising performance.
8. Rewarding and disciplining employees.
9. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
10. Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
11. Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
12. Ensure safety programs are effectively implemented, reviewed regularly, revised as necessary.
13. Ensure all employees are complying with BRC requirements and implementing corrective actions if required.

Job Requirements:

1. Must have 2+ years of manufacturing / supervisory experience.
2. Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work well in group situations.
4. Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature and consistent manner.
5. Good computer skills, SAP experience preferred.
7. BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)

Both Shifts Available:  Day Shift 7 am – 3 pm or Afternoon shift 3 pm – 11 pm

Training is provided. 

Pre-approved OT is applicable. 

Salary:  

Rate of pay is between $25-$30/hr (dependent on experience), Shift premium for afternoon shift is $0.65/hr
