Our Client, a leading Pharmaceutical company is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their growing team.
The Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment in a GMP environment; perform the equipment installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ), assist the production manager in designing or modifying the equipment to improve production efficiency and throughput; develop the preventative maintenance program and maintain the records.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanic and Engineering
- Install, assemble, test, and troubleshoot machines and equipment according to production needs and manuals
- Initiate and perform the machines and equipment; 's IQ, OQ, and PQ and complete the required reports
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service, and maintain the maintenance log
- Inspect machines and equipment regularly for signs of malfunctions, and resolve equipment problems as they raise
- Be able to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and in a noisy environment
- Write the operation procedures according to the company SOPs and provide training to the operators as needed
- Report to the immediate manager immediately on any mechanic and electrical issues and potential issues
- Make and implement recommendations on machines and equipment to achieve goals in productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety
- Work effectively in collaboration with other members of the department or with managers and staff whose tasks must be completed.
- Work safely so as not to endanger individual health and safety, or the health and safety of others.
- Work to achieve assigned tasks within the standards required (quality, quantity, time, and resources).
- Comply with all legal requirements, all corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted business and ethical practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate manager.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in GMP /Pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance preferred
- Ability to act competently in emergencies and work on a flexible schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems for production equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license
Education:
- Mechanical diploma or certificate or equivalence
- Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering specialties
Shift Schedule: Afternoon shift ( 3:15 pm to 12:00 am )
