Banking Reconciliations Clerk

Our client is a leading Canadian banking institution. We are looking to hire administrative professionals with advance Excel skills. Previous back office experience is preferred. 

 

Contract term: 18/12/2017 to 30/06/2018

Pay rate: $19.00/hr

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: 8:30am - 5:00pm 

 

MUST HAVE:

Reporting to the Team Manager, the Reconciliation Clerk will be part of a team that is responsible for the production of Canadian and US Tax reporting for all business lines. The role involves maintaining a high standard of work quality, excellent relationship with our business partners as well as adhering to all regulatory requirements within their prescribed time frames.

Job Responsibilities:

•Ad hoc preparation of tax slips.
•Review entries posted by various Departments to the tax file, ensuring accuracy, investigating discrepancies and ensuring corrections are completed prior to the generation of yearend tax receipts.
•Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
•Review client documentation as it relates to IRS reporting
•Always provide high quality service when dealing with clients to demonstrate Wealth Shared Services commitment to putting our clients first.
•Protect the bank’s interests and minimize risk by complying with procedures, standards and controls.
•Escalate issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained
•Participate fully as a member of the team, promote team effectiveness, and contribute to a positive work environment
•Ensure adherence to all HR policies, other Bank, and Industry Codes of Conduct

 

Job Requirements:

•Post-Secondary education required/University degree an asset
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
•Strong time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines.
•Ability to multi-task.
•Ability to quickly learn new systems, applications and processes.
•Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
•Strong problem solving skills.
•Strong technical skills- Advanced MS Excel skills are a requirement
•Self-driven with ability to work effectively and within a close team environment
