Millwright / Welding / Fabrication

Our client, a Cosmetic manufacturing company is looking for a Millwright to start ASAP in Scarborough.

• Must strong in welding/fabrication (TIG and ARC a must, MIG an asset)
• This opportunity is for a machine guarding project for health and safety
• Location in Scarborough, ON 
• Full time, 6 weeks contract, day shift (7:00am-3:30pm)
• $30/hr, start ASAP

Job duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis
  Minor electrical troubleshooting including, but not limited to, motors and fuses
• Perform the daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance inspections, conducts, safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment
• Work closely with engineering, outside suppliers or contractors to obtain the components or services required in the repair or preventative maintenance of the equipment and facilities
• Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
  Performs, and instruct production personnel in new equipment start-up procedures and machine operation
• Machinery redesign/modifications and/or process improvement to include but not limited to fixtures, assembly jigs, carts, gauges, and guarding
  

Requirements & Qualification: 

• At least 2-3 years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• TIG and ARC welding experience is a must. MIG welding experience is an asset.
• Has the Inter-Provincial Red Seal License (433A)
• Good English communication skills
