Assembler

Our client is a multinational manufacturer with designing, building and implementing the world's most advanced satellite, radar and high-frequency antennas.

The Pedestal Operator is responsible for assembling parts and components of hydraulic pedestals. Duties will include the set-up, operation and maintenance of complex and simple machinery; installing, fastening and aligning various parts and components on assemblies using hand and small power tools; utilizing crane and hoists to position; cleaning components, troubleshooting and diagnosing defective components.

This is a Temporary position

Essential Job Function
 

• Assemble parts according to specifications using assembly drawings, schematics and assembly instructions
• Attach, connect and adjust all hydraulic systems as specified
• Fit parts to very close tolerances and operating requirements.
• Use of hand and power tools such as soldering gun, drills and precision measuring equipment.
• Inspect finished product to ensure conformance to specifications
• Completes required job control, inventory, and related reports (example: timecards).
• Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and hydraulic assembly experience
• Knowledge of and experience with inspection techniques, including the ability to notice minute inconsistencies/faults in parts or production processes
• Mathematically inclined
• Ability to understand blueprints and other technical drawings.
• Knowledge of electronic components an asset

Payrate: $15.50/hr 

Must flexable with Day and Afternoon shift
