Our client is a leading manufacturing company for cosmetics, pharma, & cleaning products in North America. Currently, we are looking for a strong HelpDesk person with 3-5 years experience.
Ensures all IT needs to support production are met. Provides first-level problem resolution for all computer systems and telephone issues. This includes problem definition, research, and resolution of less complex situations. Escalates more complex situations to appropriate resources.
Essential Job Functions
PC, phone and network support for the site in a responsive, courteous and helpful fashion.
Manages open issues.
PC adds/moves/changes
Escalates trouble tickets when resolution is beyond scope: resolution is > 4 hours, data center/server problem, different/advanced skill sets required, outside parties required.
Performs Network troubleshooting related to network system and user problems.
Maintains an accurate inventory of all computer related hardware and software.
Installs hardware and software as directed by Network Administrator.
Repair and maintenance of all hardware.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent work experience.
Certification in the follow areas would be an asset: CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, SME, PMP IBM and NetApp SAN Systems Configuration and Admin
High level of technical proficiency in, Citrix Configurations and Admin
5 years’ experience with VMWare, and SAN technology
5 years Project management skills
Netbackup system setup and admin
Firewall knowledge Checkpoint PIX ASA
EDI Gentran/AS2 knowledge support
JDE E1 / World
Microsoft Exchange Administration
5 years or greater experience in a Tier 3 level Support 7/24
Superior troubleshooting skills and priority management, and knowledge transfer skills, Documenting, and policy adherence and development, can handle adversity
Server Architecture and Admin.
Job Location: Concord, ON
Salary Range: Around $50 – 60k
