Report to VP, with one direct report, HR/Payroll Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
-- Provide support and resolutions to all employees, coach managers and supervisors to interact with employees by recommending, developing and conducting training programs.
-- Maintained employee personnel files
-- Full cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing recruitment methods, interviewing candidates, reference checks and providing employment offers
-- Maintain the HRIS and Recruitment system
-- Host new hire orientation, on-boarding and training
-- Assist the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist with WSIB claims
-- Management representative for the health and safety committee, act as its Co-Chair
-- Facilitate Early and Safe Return to Work program and annual fire drills
-- Maintain the Rewards and Recognition Programs
-- Process and track performance reviews that will impact the annual and progression increases
-- Responsible for leading the company crisis management plan which includes annual training mock drills
-- Manager the ADP bi-weekly payroll and all payroll related functions
-- Manage relationships with staffing agencies stakeholders
-- Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required
Qualifications/Experience/Education
-- Must have over 8 years progressive human resources experience in a manufacturing setting
-- Demonstrated strong time management skills, Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of staff
-- University degree/Certification in Human Resources Management with CHRP designation
