Accounting Analyst

Our client in the cosmetics industry is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join their business team. The candidate will be part of a fast-paced, energetic environment where he/she will play a key role supporting the finances, reporting, HR and operations of the organization.

Ongoing accountabilities include accounting and control, financial reporting, financial planning, budgeting, accounts receivable/payable, inventory management, treasury, and tax.

Accounting, Systems and Administration:
• Full responsibility of financial reporting including account analysis, physical inventory control,
internal controls, and preparation of all government remittances, forecasting/budgeting,
maintaining of capital and fixed assets
• Experience in ERP system implementation, configuration and processing
• Generate financial closing activities including month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial
statements including general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and ensure legal and regulatory compliance
regarding all financial functions
• Maintain accounts receivables and accounts payables, processing payments and using online
electronic funds transfer (EFT) and wire transfer

Financial Planning and Business Analysis:
• Support with the development and tracking of key business metrics
• Review and maintain the Company cash flow, including forecasting, planning and management
• Assist with the preparation of sales budgets and forecasts

Human Resources Related:
• Oversee company’s HR efforts
• Help implement key HR policies and procedures
• Support Implementation and maintenance of a performance management process
• Process Payroll and administer employee benefits plan

Desired Skills and Experience

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
• ERP Netsuite experience as an asset
• Professional accounting designation (ie. CGA)
• Minimum 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting, manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong internal finance skills including, but not limited to, accounting and tax, internal and external controls, budgeting and planning, treasury, financial systems, and management reporting.
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills and experience in and knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel
